Smart Moves: Tackle Exterior Painting First

Are you getting ready to do some serious home improvement? If the exterior of your home is going to be your focus, we recommend tackling that project with an exterior painting company before doing just about anything else. Why? Your home’s paint is its protection from the elements, and so postponing a much-needed paint job can mean having to pay for costly repairs down the road.

But that’s not the only reason to bump exterior painting to the top of your list. First, putting painting before landscaping should be a no-brainer. A great crew won’t disrupt mulch or plants, but even so, it makes sense to work on the landscaping once the painting is done.

Second, put off painting for too long and you run the risk of it getting too cold, too windy, or life being too busy to make an exterior paint job feasible. If your home is ready for a new paint job, don’t wait. Now is a great time to make it happen.
