Make Your Storefront Standout

July 31, 2019

In this digital age that we live in, more and more companies are no longer based in traditional storefronts. This is especially true considering the copious amounts of online shopping available. Consumers have many options that do not involve heading to a store to find the services or products they need.

That’s why, if you do have a storefront, you need to make it stand out and welcome your customers. How do you do that? Here are a few ideas to help make your storefront look its best and encourage clients or consumers to take a look at what your company is offering.

Consider Your Brand Color Palette

What colors do consumers associate with your brand? What colors are integral to your logo or website? Use those colors to help create brand awareness on your storefront as well. For example, use versions of your color palette on the building if possible. When consumers enter your store, they should be greeted with colors that they link to your brand, products, and services. This doesn’t mean paint every wall red if your logo contains red, but use it as an accent color or as a unifying theme around your office, store, or business. A cohesive color palette shows that you think ahead and stand behind your brand 100%!

Display Your Products

Depending upon your industry, you may want to use the windows in your storefront to showcase some of your products. Don’t go crazy jamming items in a window, but rather pick a few items that are special and rotate the display regularly so that something new and fresh is out there weekly.

Lighting Considerations

Be sure you are using proper lighting that makes your products shine. In other words, no fluorescent lighting but rather minimalistic spotlighting to showcase an item is great for a front window display.

Cleanliness

Drawing attention to your storefront can easily be done with the right paint color, lighting and displays. Unfortunately if the windows are dirty or there is trash, leaves, or debris outside your store, you have a problem. Be sure to regularly wash and clean the outside of your store as you don’t want to compete between a mess and your products for passersby attention.
